We are deeply sorry to hear the news about the loss of the prominent Jordanian Islamic scholar Sheikh Majed Irsan Kailany last night. Dr. Kailany was devoted to Islamic education and was the author of several books, one of them was rewarded the prize of the “best book in Islamic education” by UNICEF.
Dr. Kailany’s son (Sayed) is a dear brother and a member of this community. We will have Aza’a and a short presentation on the life of Sheikh Majed Kaylany when brother Syaed will come back from Jordan insha’a Allah.
Abdullah Bin Amr narrated that he heard The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) say: “Verily, Allah does not take away knowledge by snatching it from the people, but He takes it away by taking away (the lives of) the religious scholars till none of the scholars remains alive. Then the people will take ignorant ones as their leaders, who, when asked to deliver religious verdicts, will issue them without knowledge, the result being that they will go astray and will lead others astray.” [Sahih Bukhari] –
